In the event of an air raid alert, we ask that you listen to the museum staff and immediately proceed to the nearest shelter (Ukrainian Heroes Square metro station). The museum will be closed during this time; after the all-clear, visitors will be welcomed back to the museum halls (during opening hours). Thank you for your understanding and compliance with safety regulations.
The permanent exhibition is currently closed due to martial law. However, the museum remains open to visitors and offers temporary exhibitions, special projects and workshops.
Having rethought its role during the war, the Museum set itself the goal of becoming a centre of solidarity, a space for support and stability in society. Yes, all works currently located abroad will be returned after the war ends. They have been temporarily removed for security reasons only and are under reliable protection in partner museums.
