The Khanenko Museum can provide expert opinions on European and Asian works of art in accordance with the specialists available on staff.
Procedure:
The museum’s researchers provide oral and written expert opinions on works of art from Europe, Asia and the Ancient World. Expert opinions are provided at the museum by prior arrangement between the expert and the client.
Please note that the original work must be provided for expert opinion, not an electronic or printed reproduction. The work must be accessible for viewing from all sides (without frames or mounting elements).
– As part of the ‘Oral Expertise’ service, the expert’s conclusion is communicated to the customer immediately or within 1 hour after viewing the work.
– As part of the ‘Written Expertise’ service, the expert’s conclusion is provided to the customer in the form of a laminated document of the established format (including a photo of the work, the expert’s signature and the museum’s stamp) within 1 month from the date of inspection of the work.
The museum expertise service does not include a monetary valuation of the work.
